Working in these spaces sharpened his ability to manage production from concept through post production while maintaining creative integrity within established systems.
Alongside his corporate and editorial experience, Sebastien has built a strong presence in independent production across documentary film, music, and branded content. His background in directing, cinematography, and editing allows him to apply an understanding of the craft to every project. From creative development and visual design to shooting, post production, and final delivery, he approaches filmmaking as an integrated process.
He began developing his voice early through his branded identity SP1 Films, producing independent and commissioned work that laid the foundation for his evolution. He now operates through his production company, Abandoned Art Productions, where he develops and produces projects from concept through completion. Through this platform, he collaborates with agencies, brands, artists, and production teams, assembling the right creative partnerships to bring each vision to life.
Originally from Spring Valley, New York, Sebastien discovered filmmaking in high school and pursued it academically, earning his Bachelors Degree in Television & Video Production from Plattsburgh State University followed by his Master of Fine Arts degree in Television and Film Production from Brooklyn College. That technical foundation, combined with real world experience across multiple sectors of the industry, enables him to move fluidly between large scale productions and intimate storytelling environments.
